Development stage of the fetus
How does the fetus develop?
The baby is about the size of a watermelon, weighs about 2.38kg and is about 46cm long. At this size, there is no room left in the uterus for movement. Therefore, the baby will kick less, but if so, they will kick very hard.
Fat is being formed all over the baby's body, especially around the shoulders. If the baby is in the first place of birth, the baby's head will rest on the mother's pubic bone to prepare for labor.
Body changes
How does the mother's body change?
Previously, the mother's uterus was completely protected by the pelvis, during this period it grew to the lower ribs. If you can see the inside of your uterus, you'll find that your baby takes up more volume than the amniotic fluid. The enlarged uterus puts pressure on other internal organs, which is why mothers will need to urinate more often and may face heartburn and stomach pain. If you don't have to grapple with these unpleasant things, you are one of the few very lucky women to get pregnant.
What are the things you need to pay attention to?
Have you ever wondered why babies cry a lot when they are born? That's because the baby cried even inside. This is true. According to the researchers, the fetus in the last trimester of pregnancy had the act of crying: trembling chin, opening its mouth, inhaling deeply and exhaling, startled by a loud noise and vibration near the mother's abdomen. This reflex develops early even in premature babies, so it shouldn't be too surprising that babies perfect this skill long before birth.
See a doctor
What should mom tell the doctor?
Although the birthday is approaching, some babies will continue to develop steadily until the tenth month. If this happens, the baby may decide to stay with the mother for a little longer. Mom should ask the doctor what to prepare when the baby is born late. Of course, it would be better if the baby decides to leave the uterus at the right time without any push.
What tests do you need to know?
I will spend most of my time at the doctor's office this month. The exams during this time will be more interesting - the doctor will estimate the baby's size and even predict when the baby is born. Depending on the doctor's examination and the mother's requirements, the mother can perform the following tests:
Measure the mother's weight (usually slowing or stopping)
Maternal blood pressure measurement (may be slightly higher in mid-pregnancy)
Measure sugar and protein in the urine
Check hands and feet for signs of varicose veins
Check the uterus (mother's cervix) to see if dimming (thinning) and dilation (opening) of the uterus begin
Measure the height of the bottom of the uterus
Measure the heart rate of the fetus
Measure the size of the fetus by manipulating the abdomen from the outside. Through this test, mothers can know relatively accurately the size, orientation and position of the fetus.
If there are any questions or issues mom would like to discuss, especially those related to labor and delivery, such as the frequency and duration of pre-labor false contractions and symptoms Other symptoms the mother has experienced, especially those that are not normal.
Health and safety
What do you need to know to ensure safety during pregnancy?
Use an electric blanket
Electric blankets are very convenient and completely safe for mothers. However, mothers need to pay attention only to the temperature just enough warm but not too high to not burn or raise body temperature, which can endanger the baby's development.
Sleeping position
In the early months of pregnancy, mothers can keep the habit of lying on their backs because the baby's weight is not very large. But around the middle three months of pregnancy, as the baby grows and gets heavier, mothers should choose a different sleeping position.
