Ways to determine an infants caloric needs
Learn how to determine your baby’s caloric needs, including the calories in breast milk and formula, to ensure your infant gets the right nutrition for healthy growth.
Toddlers between the ages of 1–3 will love to follow others. So parents need to avoid saying profanity and swearing in front of their children.
Your child is in a curious age and will find it wonderful to learn something new. Through the process of imitating what others say, I gradually amassed my own vocabulary. However, if a child says profanity or swear words, what should parents do?
When children swear, parents need to be calm, not loudly at the baby and can apply the following ways:
The first time you see your child say nonsense, refrain from your urge to laugh. This will make your baby mistakenly think that swearing is a good thing. Even if you hear your baby say confusing words, give them reminders instead of finding them interesting.
If your child is used to a mouth or two with profanity, you need to set out rules to teach your child. You need to stay calm, try not to become frustrated or mad because your baby will think that you will be able to attract parents' attention.
Depending on the age and each specific case, parents can punish them by depriving the baby of privileges such as going out, watching TV when they swear.
If your child adds new bad words, parents teach them to say better words. For example, to express anger or disappointment, instead of swearing, you could say, "How annoying!" or "I'm so sad!".
If your child says profanity to ask for something, be firm and don't let him get it. Instead, reward and encourage when your child stops swearing or profaning.
You should tell your child that swearing is bad and tell him not to talk like that anymore, even just joking with you. Swearing and profaning will get your child into trouble at school, class and friends. When a child eats rice with his family, especially when he has grandparents, this is even less advisable.
Explain that parents do not accept their child's profanity because they will hurt the other person's feelings. This action does not make your child more special, but also negatively affects those around you.
Swearing and swearing in adults and children are completely different. However, if your child often hears these bad words from parents or adults every day, he will think that there is nothing wrong with this and follow suit. Why can the adults speak, and I can't?
Therefore, the adults in the family need to be an example. If you accidentally swear, parents must apologize to me right away.
Hopefully the above information will help parents know how to overcome profanity and swearing in children.
