Helping your child go to kindergarten is a pleasure!

Helping your child go to kindergarten is a pleasure!

Children are used to the care of family members, so it will be difficult to like the kindergarten environment. So how can parents create joy when their children go to kindergarten?

Here are things to know before starting kindergarten  for parents.

Make time for the first day of kindergarten

You should stay with the baby for a few more minutes until the baby's psychology is stable, because it is likely that the child is not used to her and his friends and just cries for his parents.

Maybe you will feel anxious and emotional just like your baby. However, just be happy and confident because your baby will follow you and will know how to get acquainted.

Give your child peace of mind and know when you'll come back to pick them up, be it after lunch or after school. Don't lie with things like, "Mom just went out to get the car" when you leave your baby in class. You should leave your teacher contact number in case they need to call you.

If your baby cries and won't let you go, ask the ladies for help. In most cases, they'll ask you to stay with your baby for a while during the early days. When you say goodbye, don't be nervous but smile. If there is a problem, the school will contact you. Rest assured because your baby will enjoy a new, exciting experience and forget about asking for parents quickly.

Find out more in the book

Look for a few books on skills for your toddler in kindergarten or kindergarten and read in the library or bookstore. In addition, tell your child about all the fun activities they can do in kindergarten , such as drawing pictures, playing sand and water, making models, singing rhymes, building houses with bricks, and lego.

Give your baby time to get used to

Some children find starting school in kindergarten very stressful and still unable to get used to after a few weeks. Do not worry and do not blame yourself, but know that each child has a unique personality and eventually he will learn how to integrate himself only.

Learn from the teacher or nanny about what happens to your baby when you leave. Your baby may sob during the session or just whimper for 10 minutes and be distracted by another activity immediately.

You should gradually increase the amount of time your baby is in kindergarten until he or she can stay the whole day without parents. You should stay with your baby during class, leave once he starts participating in an activity, but don't leave the room immediately and continue watching.

Make connections with other children, help them play together to encourage friendships. Some babies will get used to better if you say goodbye briefly, prolonging the time only makes the baby flutter, making you more awkward.

Don't bother about learning letters and numbers

We all want our children to do well, but the truth is it will be difficult for them to grasp letters and numbers right from the start. Children learn by playing and therefore optimal learning is fun to learn.

This does not mean that your baby will be playing freely, without guidance during the lesson. The school will offer learning and play programs that are suitable for the child's developmental level, helping children learn through play.

If you want to encourage learning at home and are looking for ways to make lessons fun, try these:

Play games to link sounds and letters;

Encourage number recognition by counting everyday objects like red cars on the street;

Let your baby learn how to make some types of cakes to know how to weigh, measure and quantify;

Dress your child in princess, prince, animal clothes ... to practice acting;

Let them draw and write so that they can learn how to hold a pencil, helping to write letters in the future.

Parents will feel anxious about the first day of kindergarten. Talk to other parents with school-aged children to share their experiences and find more empathy! Hope this article has provided you with lots of useful information.
