Have you ever visualized what our entire blood vessel system looks like? Scientists used a method of injecting a "plastination agent" coagulant into the blood of a human donor, which was then broken down by the acid leaving only the vascular system.
After a series of medical measures they obtained a complete human vascular system profile.
Plastination is a breakthrough way to preserve cadavers, invented and conceptualized in 1979 by German doctor and anatomist Gunther Von Hagens.
This technique allows the preservation of tissues, organs removed from the dead body or entire body. According to the demonstration at the show, Plastination is an anatomical engineering initiative designed to dry specimens and be processed into fixed, touchable masses.
This technique helps to maintain the characteristics of the body perfectly. The specimen is first injected with formalin solution to stop decomposition. Doctors will select either the deeply dissected specimen, or the 3.5 mm thin cut, depending on the condition of the donor.
Next, the specimen will be soaked in the mixture of acetone solvents to remove all fluids, blood and body fat. In the third step, the acetone is completely removed, replaced with a solution of polymer introduced into the body tissues until fully absorbed. Appearance of a specimen is shaped by a polymer, which is a material that fixes its shape.
Finally, use gas or heat to harden the specimen. It takes at least one year to completely dry the specimen after having undergone the above treatment. The specimen can then be displayed at room temperature, preserved for 100 years or more. With such a process, the specimens at the exhibition cannot be considered plastic, but exactly plasticized and in essence, it is still a human corpse processed through a technical process to preserve cadavers. called Plastination.
