Babys development from 15 to 18 months of age

During this period, children know how to apply new skills from body manipulation, thinking patterns and language to try to solve problems. You will be surprised to see him push a chair to the edge of the kitchen, try to climb onto it, point his finger at the jar of candies on the counter while babbling: Yum !!!

Baby's development from 15 to 18 months of age

Can you notice a noticeable improvement in your baby's development?

What can a baby do, Mother, handling

I use my body to explore and learn.

I can walk, run, and climb.

I can doodle crayon and know how to stack the assembled blocks into a tall tower.

I can feed myself.

Encourage your child to use fingers and hands to explore  objects .  Let your child freely grab a doodle on paper, type on a toy piano key, or hold a soap bubble blower. Have your child play “climbing” games.  Try to create some safe challenges for your baby to "conquer" - such as climbing a mountain with pillows stacked. I know how to use language to understand the world around me.

I can understand some simple questions and instructions like when your parents say, "Let's kick the ball back for me".

Children can communicate with parents by connecting sounds and actions (pointing at the ball and talking)

At the age of 18 months, your child's vocabulary is up to 20 words.

Ask your child optional questions:  Do you want to eat yogurt or a banana? Turn your child's gestures into words:  I am pointing to a bird flying in the sky. Read books, sing well together, create melodies or stories of mother and child. This helps build babies a love of words and a passion for learning. I know how to feel my love and my loved ones.

I can comfort loved ones when they seem sad.

I know how to repeat sounds and actions that "make fun of" others.

Children do not know how to adjust their moods, so sometimes when a child "makes me work," parents should comfort and soothe them.

Read books about emotions. Relate what you're reading to your baby's true moods: The boy in our story feels sad when he's parting with his dad, like when he feels sad when he says goodbye to his dad. Parents should know how to keep calm when the baby fussy . Take a deep breath, count 1 to 10, or anything that stops you from reacting. If you calm down, your baby will quickly calm down. I know how to handle the problem.

I know how to do something over and over to try to figure out how it works.

I know how to use certain objects just what they do - talk to the receiver of a toy phone.

I can imitate other people's actions - know how to press a TV remote.

Have your child repeat the same action over and over if he likes it. You may feel bored, but it is very important for your baby to practice problem-solving skills. Once your child learns a new skill, like throwing a ball, create another challenge for them:  Place a basket and encourage him to throw the ball in it.
