Children are at risk of drinking contaminated milk

Since Abbott announced the voluntary recall of 10 batches of milk with suspected Clostridium Botulinum infection, this list of formula formulas are at risk of this infection due to the use of whey concentrate ingredients produced by Fonterra New Zealand. more and more.

From Abbott, Karicare up to now, Dumex, brands that are quite familiar to Vietnamese consumers, have withdrawn products, making parents worry. Clostridium Botulinum is a type of bacteria commonly found in soil, and most likely, Fonterra's milk is contaminated by an unhygienic pipe in the company's processing plant.

The following symptoms may include blurred vision, difficulty breathing, bloating, constipation.

When a child encounters these symptoms, they should be taken to the hospital urgently. If severe poisoning can die from paralysis of respiratory muscles.

There is currently no preventive vaccine for disease caused by Clotridium botulinum bacteria, so consumers only prevent disease by not using products suspected of being contaminated with this bacterium.
