Teaching children to share improperly will have bad consequences for them

Teach your children to share to form their good personality later. However, if you apply it incorrectly, you will cause bad consequences for your children.

During the early years of life, children will learn to meet their own needs. The concepts of sharing, borrowing, and lending are too complex for babies to understand. When teaching children to share in the forced form, children not only do not learn any social skills, but instead, they become angry or misunderstand the meaning of this good quality.

Forcing your child to learn to share brings the wrong message

One day, a close friend's family came to a friend's house to play. This family has 2 young children. At this time, let the children and your friends sit still, the adults can sit and chat, you take out your children's toys and lend them to the other 2 children. Sometimes you say that your child gives up something they are playing to the other 2 children, because they really want to play that object (for example, an electric car, the child can ride in the driver) and express a crying attitude to have a toy. . This is a situation where you force your child to share it with others. According to experts, instead of letting your child express his or her opinion about whether or not you want to share with others, you force your child to share. This actually brings up some bad messages like:

As long as I cry, you give them toys

It is the adult's job to divide the toys, decide who gets what and for how long

Your baby must always stop what he is doing and give the toy to you just because the other child wants it.

Children gradually lose the ability to resolve conflicts on their own

Another downside to making children share is limiting the baby's development of problem solving abilities.

The protective instinct will catalyze and make you ready to do anything to keep your baby from getting hurt. For example, you have two daughters at home. Every time the younger brother wanted a toy, he screamed. Leave the house alone, you tell the older to give the toy to the child. However, this is not good at all.

If this continues, your child will know that if he or she just cries or fussy, he will get what he wants instead of walking over to him / her and asking for a toy. Therefore, when small disputes arise , let the children resolve them themselves, you should only stand outside to watch or intervene when you feel it is necessary.

Children find it difficult to accept shared lessons when they are too young

Teaching children to share improperly will have bad consequences for them

You want your children to learn good qualities, so you set yourself up as an example for them. For example, if you want to teach your children to share, when you see people in need, you are ready to help. You are always smiling and caring for the people around you. Your baby will imitate those things like you.

However, if they are under 3 years old, they still cannot understand clearly why they should share toys with friends even when their parents instruct, ask or even force them. Children will find it difficult to share, so it is easy to resist with parents.

Some special toys children cannot share

Your child may be especially fond of a toy because it was given by a grandparent or close friend or by being with him for a long time. Therefore, I will not want anyone to play with or have to share with others. Forcing your baby to share will make your baby feel unfair about his parents, even if you just want to comfort another child.
