1. Great Pyramid of Giza (Egypt)

5. The Alexandria Lighthouse

The lighthouse of Alexandria was built by a Greek ruler in Egypt named Ptolemy in the 3rd century BC. The lighthouse is used as a beacon to ships in dangerous waters out of the Egyptian port city of Alexandria:

The lighthouse is operated using fire at night and polished copper mirrors to reflect the sun during the day. It is said that the light from the lighthouse can be seen from a distance of 50km offshore.

It took nearly 20 years to complete the lighthouse and this is considered the tallest building in the world for many centuries.

No one has yet been sure why this structure was destroyed, but many believe that it is most likely related to an earthquake.

6. Statue of Zeus in Olympia (Greece)

Statue of Zeus was built around the 4th century BC with a height of 12m, width 7, located in the ancient city of Olympia.

The statue has decorative details made of gold and ivory.

Many historians believe that the statue of Zeus was moved to Constantinople (now Istanbul) in Turkey but later also burned in fire.

7. Mausoleum's Mausoleum (Turkey)

Mausoleum's mausoleum was designed and built by a famous Greek architect in the city of Halicarnassus.

This work is 40m long, 45m high with the contribution of 1,200 employees, working hard for 17 years.

30m high statue stands on a 7m pedestal. The head of the statue weighs 35.6 tons, is 3.7m high. Each arm weighs 9.1 tons, the distance between the fingers of the left and right hand is 23m.

The statue is a symbol of Brazilian peace and hospitality.

4. Fort Machu Picchu (Peru)

Machu Picchu was built in 1450 AD, however, after that, the city was abandoned for hundreds of years.

Machu Picchu UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.

This is one of the most famous ruins of the Inca civilization - a civilization that thrived in the Andes mountains in the southwestern US.

5. Chichen Itza relic (Mexico)

Chichen Itza is the product of the Mayan civilization, built by an Itzáes tribe in the ninth century and developed into a regional capital until the twelfth century:

This site contains various architectural styles such as El Castillo (Temple of Kukulkan) and Temple of the Warriors.

For now, the Itza's true origin remains a mystery.

6. Colosseum (Italy)

The Colosseum, also known as the Colosseum, is an architectural work built in AD 80 during the reign of Emperor Titus Vespasian.
