Do not be subjective with the bites when your child plays with you

Most of these bites are the result after a baby fights. Children often intentionally aim the opponent's arm or hand to attack by biting it. Older babies can cause an immediate bite of the muscle when the skin grazes the teeth. Bites from human teeth are more susceptible to infection than insect bites, and hand bites are most likely to develop complications.

What are the signs and symptoms of a human tooth bite?

Signs and symptoms of an infected bite include:

Redness around the wound;

The wound was hurting more and more;

Fluid and pus oozing from the wound;

Swollen lymph glands;

High fever of 40 degrees or more;

Shivering.

What should you do first?

Home care

For torn or punctured areas: wash the wound with liquid soap and let it sit under running water for about 10 minutes before taking your baby to the doctor. You should also check your baby's immunogenicity to prevent tetanus.

For cuts or tears: wash the wound with soap and water for 5 minutes. You may not need to be disinfected and bandaged or, if necessary, just bandage for 12 hours to avoid staining the wound.

 Go to the nearest medical facility if:

The wound is too deep;

The wound is open and needs stitching;

You think your baby needs to see a doctor;

Call your doctor later if:

The wound shows signs of infection;

The wound was more painful on the second day;

The red spot spreads on the second day;

You feel the baby's condition is getting worse.

How should you avoid being bitten?

Most of the bites are the result of violence. Instruct your baby on how to defend himself or keep him away from children who are aggressive, fight or have violent behaviors, especially strangers or outsiders. Remember to regularly observe the strange signs on the baby's body so you can intervene and take care of the baby in time.
