Brain development music for babies

Brain development music for babies

Music is like a complicated "stimulant". So, do not ignore the use of brain development music for babies.

Our brain likes music just like Willy Wonka (a fantasy character in a children's movie) likes chocolate. A musical neurologist once described music as a complex "stimulant" and you can use it as a way to strengthen children's brains.

Evidence that listening to music benefits the brain

A new study has shown that when babies listen to music with valse, they improve their musical ability. The study also shows that listening to music regularly and actively is a good habit that influences infant brain development. However, there is no specific information about listening to music and how much exposure to music can have a positive effect.

A popular study previously known as the "Mozart effect" has shown that exposing young children to Mozart positively affects brain development. Accordingly, an experiment was performed on children 39 months old. These children are divided into 2 groups with 2 different care. One group is exposed to the music and the other only plays games. Researchers found that the brains of infants in the music exposure group responded well to rhythm and lyrics.

Overall, these findings broaden our understanding of how children learn to speak and shed light on how the brain can process music and speech sounds. This study was published and later an assistant professor of music education and music therapy at the Kansas School of Music , Lawrence, USA, also supported the study. Since then music classes have been proven to be beneficial for parents and babies in everyday life.

5 great benefits of music

1. Play an instrument to increase memory

Whether you're playing the guitar or other wooden musical instruments help protect your brain from the ravages of old age. When children play a musical instrument, it is when they rhythmically coordinate body parts together. Over time, the brain will learn to perform multiple tasks at once without being overwhelmed, and the child will remember information for longer. In addition, playing in a group (like in an orchestra) will contribute to enhancing a child's ability to handle situations.

2. Learning music helps children to be smarter

Learning an instrument is like playing an Olympics game. It teaches the brain how to solve problems, which is why people with music training are often good at math, science, and engineering. Let your child start learning as a child because there will be much more memory than when they are older. However, it's never too late to start.

3. Joining a singing group will help your child be happier

When singing, body vibrations contribute to lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels and the release of endorphins, making the mood feel good. Research shows that singing also helps release IgA antibodies, which boost the immune system, and even when a baby sings alone can help improve mood immediately.

4. Listening to music helps relieve pain

A group of Swedish researchers found that regularly listening to favorite music lowers cortisol levels. Conversely, music can also be a "killer" of pain by distracting pain.

5. The drumming can re-start brain function

The brain will instinctively synchronize with the rhythm, which explains why children or even adults will unconsciously walk (or run) in tune with the rhythm. In fact, therapists use drums to treat patients with severe dementia. Besides, drum is also a great stress reliever even for those with healthy brains.

When it comes to music as therapy, drumming is the method of choice, but music in general has an extraordinary power to bring rebirth to the human mind. So, use music to stimulate children's brains, making them more agile and intelligent.
