Babys development from 24 to 30 months of age

From 24 to 30 months, children know how to use language skills to express their thoughts and feelings. Children also know how to make friends with other children. Other physical skills are also developing faster, such as walking, running, and climbing, helping children explore the world around them in a more "risky" way.

Baby's development from 24 to 30 months of age

What do you think is the most wonderful thing about your baby's development at this stage?

What can the child do

Mother handle how

I know how to coordinate my body to get where I want.

You can step by step up the stairs.

You can go back.

I can keep balance on one leg, so I can climb.

Walk around the house.  Take your baby for a walk in the vicinity so he can discover more interesting things.

Practice your baby's movements with games.  Stack each stack of paper on the floor and guide your baby to jump through the paper "islands" one after another.

I know how to use words to express my thoughts and feelings.

You can say a long sentence: Mommy makes milk or I play soccer.

The words I like to say the most are: yes, yes, no, child, mine.

Sometimes I can't control my emotions nor put into words. I need your mother to help soothe and calm me down.

Ask about children's ideas:  Which part of this book do you like best?

Understand the baby's feelings, and at the same time teach her social skills: I  know you love playing this sand shovel but Bo wants to play it too. Or can I lend her a little play?

Help your baby soothe the anger.  Some children like to be comforted and comforted. But some other children like to be alone.

Your imagination is richer

I take one object and consider it another. For example, the father's shoe box "turns" into a bed for your teddy bear.

I can understand what is funny or stupid and laugh at them, like a toy cart that suddenly roared like a cow instead of beep.

Sometimes I feel scared. Because my imagination is so rich, I am confused about what is true and it is because I "pretend".

Mom plays "pretend" game to teach baby how to handle a new situation.  To mentally prepare the baby to go to kindergarten, the mother can "pretend" to be a teacher, while the child is a pupil or vice versa.

Let your baby lead the game.  You ask the baby: Who is the mother playing? What will you do next?

Release your baby's fear.  Explain to your baby to understand and distinguish what is real and what is not. This helps build trust and a sense of security in your baby.

I want to make friends but still need help to make them aware of the action of sharing with friends.

I love to look at you and imitate what you do.

I have one or two close friends.

Create conditions for your baby to play with peers.  This helps to develop communication skills.

Help your baby release conflicts when playing with friends . You should show empathy for your baby to see that you understand that sharing with friends is not an easy thing to do with your baby. Help your baby find another toy while it waits for her turn to play. You can use a stopwatch to help your baby learn to wait.
