Development of 9 weeks fetus

How does the fetus develop?

The 9-week-old fetus is about the size of a grape, weighs about 28g and is nearly 2.54cm long.

Your baby's tail spine has contracted and almost disappeared by the 9th week. On the contrary, the baby's head has gradually grown and is quite large compared to the rest of the body. During the 9th week of pregnancy, the baby's first part weighs about 3g. The tiny tip of the nose has now grown and can be seen in the scans, the skin above the baby's eyes starting to form the eyelids. You will be able to see your baby's eyelids more clearly on the scan over the next few weeks.

The baby's digestive system continues to develop, the intestines grow longer and the baby's anus gradually forms. In addition, the reproductive organs (testicles or ovaries) will begin to form this week.

Because the muscles have developed, the baby can do some of the first movements during the ninth week of pregnancy. However, the mother cannot feel those movements directly through the abdomen, but can only be seen when walking super only negative.

The change in the mother's body at 9 weeks of pregnancy

How does the mother's body change?

As the amount of blood in your body continues to increase, you may experience dizziness, frequent urination and swelling of veins on your hands or feet or nosebleeds. But these excess blood comes for good reasons: they help protect the baby when the mother gets up or lie down and help compensate for the amount of blood lost during labor and delivery. Vaginal bleeding can occur during the first trimester of pregnancy and is not necessarily an alarming phenomenon. However, it could also be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage. So see your doctor right away if you find yourself bleeding.

9 weeks pregnant, mothers need to pay attention to?

When is the best time for you to let everyone know that you are pregnant? Many women have to wait up to 4 months, at which point the pregnancy is stable and the risk of miscarriage is significantly reduced. Here are some factors to consider:

Did you have any complications?

If so, see your doctor regularly or be very careful. I would feel a lot more relieved if I told my co-workers about my pregnancy early.

Mother often have morning sickness?

If you have almost constant nausea or vomiting often, you will have to tell your superiors about getting pregnant sooner than you want.

Is the mother's work hard or potentially dangerous?

For the benefit of the baby and the mother herself, maybe she will need to relax her mind early, so please report her pregnancy to colleagues right now. This will allow the mother to gradually hand over her job responsibilities without affecting the company's operations.

Do your superiors and colleagues support you?

This will depend on factors such as the culture and the maternity regime where the mother works, whether the job will be affected if the mother becomes pregnant or not, and the mother's relationship with the boss. If all factors are favorable, mother should rest assured to work and prepare to welcome her little angel.

Unfortunately, however, some employers rarely sympathize when they learn that their employees are pregnant. If mom is concerned about the reaction of her superiors, please wait very carefully and patiently. When the mother's body has started to show clear early signs of pregnancy , especially when the fetus is 9 weeks old, it is time for the mother to notify her superiors. You can also approach colleagues who have been pregnant and ask questions about how your superiors treat you when they learn that your subordinates are pregnant.

Doctor's advice about 9 weeks pregnancy

What should mom discuss with the doctor?

During the 9th week of pregnancy, some women will experience migraines more frequently during fetal formation and development. The luckier women experience less of this symptom, some even having frequent migraines while others never even once. Researchers have yet to find out why this is happening. If you have ever had migraines, talk to your doctor about migraine medications that are safe for pregnancy while you are 9 weeks pregnant.

Find ways to prevent this disease. If you know the cause of your migraines, try to avoid them. Stress, chocolate, cheese, and coffee are common causes. Try to identify whatever you can to prevent migraines early when the warning signs occur.

What tests do mothers need to know during 9 weeks pregnancy?

Vaginal infection  is an infection of the genital tract caused by an overgrowth of bacteria that live in certain small fissures in the vagina. You may have no symptoms when you have a bacterial vaginosis. If you do, you may notice a thin white or gray scum, with a bad smell or a fishy discharge from your vagina. This smell usually comes up after sex. You may also experience irritation or itchiness around the vagina and vulva, although at least half of all women with a vaginal infection will not have any symptoms.

Vaginal infections increase the risk of premature birth and rupture of the membranes surrounding the baby. So if you have symptoms of bacterial vaginosis or are at risk of premature birth, tell your doctor to be examined and treated with antibiotics if the mother's result is positive.

What do you need to know to ensure safety during pregnancy?

1. Ant or cockroach sprays

Most of the substances in ant sprays or cockroaches are pesticides and chemicals. However, scientists do not have data to test them on pregnant women, so it is difficult to conclude that they are toxic based on animal studies alone. The most toxic insecticides that scientists are concerned about are now out of use, but very little is known about the drugs on sale today. Ideally, mothers should limit the use of insect sprays during the 9th week of pregnancy.

2. Indoor bath

Likewise, scientists also know very little about the harmful effects of incense on pregnant women. So after your house is incubated, stay out for as long as twice as long as the manufacturer recommends in case the worst happens.

3. Herbal tea

Overall, there is no evidence to suggest that drinking  herbal tea is unsafe. However, mothers should pay attention to avoid teas containing ingredients that have pharmacological effects (can affect the mother's body). A 9-week-pregnant mother should also stay away from teas that may trigger uterine contractions or menstruation, such as black or green cohosh (an herb in the yellow-flowered capillary family of the Ranunculacea family).
